Im a master artisan and should probably know this but I really dont know much of this for this and this a nsfgsfagzs ok well then how do you get efficiency to like 97% and stuff I cant get it that high

The experimental percentages are based on the quality of your resources, both the starting value and the maximum you can experiment to. The maximum is 1/10th of the combined quality of the resources, weighted by the percentage in the schematic and the number of that resource in the item.

As a simple example, let's take powerups. They depend 100% on the OQ of the resources you use. So if you have 800 OQ mineral and 800 OQ chemical, the best you could experiment up to is 80%. Now, let's say you had a 900 OQ mineral and 500 OQ chemical. The weighted combination is:

900 * 1.00 *6 / 10 + 500 * 1.00 * 4 / 10 = 740

The "1.00" represents the 100% contribution of OQ. So the best you could get with that combination is 74%.

For items that depend on more than one stat, you just expand the section for each resource to include a sum of those stats multiplied by the percentages. So if powerups depended 75% on OQ and 25% on conductivity (lets give the mineral 800 cond), the first term would look like

( 900 * 0.75 + 800 * 0.25 ) * 6 / 10 + ...

Now, there's some confusion on what you do if a required resource is missing a stat. Since chemicals don't have conductivity, it might look like this:

( 900 * 0.75 + 800 * 0.25 ) * 6 / 10 + ( 500 * 0.75 + 0 * 0.25 ) * 4 / 10 = 945.

Or, the missing conductivity may get ignored, increasing the percentage of the chem's OQ:

( 900 * 0.75 + 800* 0.25 ) * 6 / 10 + ( 500 * 1.00 ) * 4 / 10 = 995

The second theory would give you better results. I don't know what confirmation has been done to figure out how exactly the crafting system handles missing resource stats.

I believe it just gets ignored. Generic Crafting Tool requires12 metal, 4 mineral, 4 chem. I made oneusing12 units of 996 CD copper, and 4 units of ore (no CD)and 4 units of chem (no CD). The end result is a +14.88 crafting tool, which pretty much reflects the 996 CD stats.
