I've always been curious about that.
Let's take a fictional example.
Super Harvester
Needs 200Metal.
There are two slotscalled "Extraction Device" and "Ressource Container"
Then you have these statistics
Effectiveness
OQ 50%
CO 50%
Hopper Size
OQ 50%
UT 50%
Ok now my question. Does it make a difference where I put my ore? Say I have two kinds of Ore
Ore 1 OQ :900 CO : 800 UT : 100
Ore 2 OQ : 800 CO : 300 UT : 999
Will I get the same item no matter where I put it? Or should I put Ore 1 in "Extraction Device" And Ore 2 in "Ressource Container"
I'll try it out tonight but if someone knows already I'd appreciate some input.

no, as with crafting anything, all the stats of the resources for every componenet are averaged and those are the numbers that work into the final base stats of the object before experimenting.

Depends if they both require 100 Metal, or if one requires 50 and the other 150. The final results is a weighted average type deal. And ignore Hopper Size, everyone else does and you will drive yourself crazy trying to find the 'perfect' resource. What i mean about weighted average is that say you have a resource that has OQ 910 UT 930 and the experimental efficiency is 50-50. So your value for that 'box' will be 920 (910+930/2). Say you also have another 'box' that you have OQ 810 UT 830 that is 50-50. So you'll have an average of 820 for that box. Now, the 1st box is 150 Metal, and the 2nd box is 50 Metal. Your average and maximum experimental efficiency will be ((920*150)+(820*50)/200) = 895 and then you divide that by 100 to get the percentage ~ 89% maximum experimental efficiency. It gets real fun when you have 10 boxes each with a different material and different stats.
