Artisan Archive
Thread: Need good advice please
I was Master BE and Master Arch with someMerchant lines and the rest in Artisan. But, looking at the BE lines, I dropped some stuff to go back Master Artisan. So if your gonna do foods, tissues and meds, this is what I suggest. (my temp) M.Art, 0404BE, after that, I stayed M.Arch, and enough in merchant to get me 4 vendors. I hope that helps. If you dont plan on DNA and pets, stay 0404 in BE.

Oh yes, this helped a lot because I'm a bit lost with crafting ...
BTW I'm merchant 3000 now with only 3 vendors and the mandatory link to the map. How can you have 4 vendors? No linking?
Still need also advices on resources ... see above

Actually you have 1 in Artisan xx3x, 1 in artisan xx4x, 1 in novice Merchant and 1 each in menagement 1&2 so maybe you have 5 vendors. Maybe I'm wrong but for sure I have 3 vendors.
Anyway your vendors are not visible on the map untill you have merchant3000, how can you sell stuffs if noone knows about the vendors? Do you place them into a Hall on ahot place?

sure you are not visable on the overhead map or listed on the planetary without registering,
but thanks to the ever so spiffy 'vendor location' tab, galactic search function who cares?
Your stuff is veiwable from other planets via the bazaar now.
first line of merchant gets you advertising. You really dont need more than 3xxx unless your going master merchant at which you get some more options on your vendors and get to place an additional vendor and hol dmore items. Unless your using vendors for storage, you hope that your selling often enough to not need but so many items on vendor(s).
I don't bother with the second line because I never really sold so much on the bazaar. Only needed to get master merchant.
3rd line is cool because you get mor options in vendor types and at xx3x , you can start putting clothes on your vendor. At xx4x, you can have them hold weapons. Only nice if your trying to build a place where people love to shop. I, myself, love to shop where I know the sellers have what I'm lolking for and plenty of it. Even if it's one of those thingies that look like mission terminals. So I'd forgo the 3rd line of merchant.
4th line is where the money is depending on how many different types of merchandise you are selling. Good news, with the galactic search function, a person can find anything they are looking for specifically. So the days of naming a vendor to display what youre selling have slid back a little. I have about 4 vendors so I like to still divide them up. But you dont really need to many vendors these days. If they are going to sell, people can find them and buy them. I used to put organic resources on one vendor, inorganics on antoher, and architect items on the 3rd. The lst was for loot. But like I said, with vendor search, you don't really need that anymore.
A dabbling in merchant should be all you need to get 2 or 3 vendors and sell your heart out.
1 thing that bites is when your endor runs out of maintenance and it doesnt sell anything. I like to leave it and go so I usually drop like 50k or more and forget it for a while.
