OK first off I am not a newb and I know how to place structures but for some reasonI can't place a wind power generator. The overhead view will come up, There are the no buld areas (yellow striped) and then there are the clear areas. The structure will not turn from red to green even when no where near a no build area.There are also no other NPC's or MOB's in the area.I'm not near a player town or a city, I did howeverjust create this character the other day.Are there some restrictions on placing buildings I'm not aware of?

My guess is the terrain is either too rough or too steep to placethe generator. Also, sometimes clear areas will say "building is not permitted here" if you're on the valid side of a city's no-build line, but trying to place at a point inside the no-build area. Although those turn green, so that doesn't sound like what you're hitting.

There aren't any structure certifications, if that's what you're worried about. The greenest newbie can place heavy harvesters and fusion generators, the same as an elite profession.
