Does anyone know how much is costs to redeed a heavy or medium harvester? I need to start collecting large quantities of resources now. So these little personal harvesters I make do not cut it any more. Before I go out and buy a medium (30K) or a heavy (80K) I was wondering if it is worth redeeding them?

I know that it takes approx 1K to redeed a personal. Cheaper to destroy it and build a new. But If I have to pay 80K to redeed a heavy. I'll have to let it collect 100K in resources and let it die I guess. Any advice to a person just breaking into the bigtime?

I'm pretty sure it is like 2000 to re-deed.

I believe it is affected by any Merchant -> Efficiency skills you have.

My mediums have a 2400cr redeed fee, and I have Efficiency 4.

Ach, sorry, I'm just an Old Ranger with Survey skill, roaming the galaxy in search of high quality resources. These merchant things confuse me.

So, I should be able to buy a good medium harvester and keep it around for along time. 2.5K is nto bad at all. Alot better then I thought. I also has Effecienty 4. Cool.

Now, I would think that a solar collector should cost the same.

Anyone have any idea on what a redeed for a heavy or fusion would be? Mabey I can get some heavies if they will be around forever.

The general rule is that the redeed cost is equal to 50 hours of maintenance. I think this also applies to houses, although I've never redeeded one of those:

Personal harvesters: 30 * 50 = 1500 credits
Medium harvesters and all generators: 60 * 50 = 3000 credits
Heavy harvesters: 90 * 50 = 4500 credits
Factories: 50 * 50 = 2500 credits

If you have the Merchant skill Efficiency IV, the hourly maintenance is reduced by 20%, so adjust the redeed cost accordingly.

Mediums and Heavies are definitely worth redeeding. I redeed personals if the resource shifts out from under itand there's more than 1k of power left, since that's kept with the deed.

Medium redeed=3000 credits

Heavy redeed=4500 credits

Fusion Gen=3000.

Not sure about the rest since I only use medium and heavy's +Fusion Gen's.

Effiency IVwill reduce all maintenance costs by 20% (including the per day cost)

Solars are definitely the same as Mediums.

Umm, if by an efficiency of 4 you mean that the BER (Base Extraction Rate) is 4 them it's a POS by today's medium harvester standards. BER 10 is the machine of today. You'll get 2.5 times more resources per day by using a BER 10 as opposed to a BER 4. Regards.
