can i sample/survey radioactive and what tool do i use? i'm not seeing it on any of my tabs for the surveying tools. thanks for your help.

Use your Mineral survey tool. If you don't see it show up, that means it's not on that planet this shift. Also, as someone else once said: When you get the warning message before you attempt to sample radioactive....pay attention!

Be careful hand surveying radioactives, you can get 600+ wounds to each bar. I have heard stories of people being incapped by hand surveying them, even at full health.

Radioactive materials did not show up for me in my mineral surveyer until I had Surveying III. It may have not been on tne planets I was surveying on before that though.

Make sure your bars can handle the wounds. If you have one of them really small, you might get incapped by sampling.
That would be embarassing - incapped by a rock

how about getting killed by a rock? yep...happened once. got incapacitated twice and then stupidly surveyed some (before I knew how much damage it could do) and next thing I know I'm a corpse........

What are radioactives used for anyway?

I pulled some up with my harvestor one time and have no idea what to use it for.

They are power for harvestors and factories. Class 1's are used in some medical crafting thing.

Radioactives are also used for making Muon Gold. Thats why it "irradiates" your body when you consume...so you know it has to be good for you. Look what it did for the Hulk.
