I heard that a combat profession player can place harvesters in certain areas to gain resources. Is this true?


I am a BH/CH/Medic but am switching to commando/ch/medic and want to still get resources. I would have liked to be an artisan but i like hunting and running missions. So i dont know what to do.


If this is possible to do this please let me know if it is and how i can do it.


Also i will most likely need an artisan to survey for resources and would like one of you to help me find them and place harvesters. I would pay you for your time-i dont have much but we can work something out if i can do this.

Anyone can place a harvester as long as they have lot space and the area is buildable.
However a surveyor is needed to find *where* to place to get the resource you are looking for.

Make that a survey tool. Being a surveyor simply improves range and results. Artisans can build the tools and you will often find them in the Bazaar under tools/survey

A tip: walk around and find a place where there are lots of harvesters already placed. Chances are that a rich vein of something or other is there.


Put your own harvester there, choose 'operate machinery', then 'select resource'. You'll receive a nice list with all resources. Pick the richest vein and start the machine!
