I am a Master Artisan and I bought a Merchant tent thinking to set up shop outside my home. I dont want strangers trekking through my home to buy a vehicle after all. But I couldnt place one. After looking into why I found I need to have a lvl 4 merchant skill. Lvl4 merchant? So I guess the tents are more complicated to place thant a PA hall. This should be Novice Merchant at most. Do Merchants gain any benefit from the tent that Master Artisans cannot? This only leads me to one conclusion....hire a merchant to place the structure. So now merchants can be used as construction workers/contractors. Artisans are nuetered cuz they cant pitch a tent.

Sorry, I agree that a 4th tier skill of an elite profession is a bit much for something that's basically a generic Naboo hut, but the comment above made my day.

I hope they change this also. Our town merchant is admin on probably every house so that he people can have cool signs. now he's going to own probably 2 tents. Seeing as how his lots are taken up on other things.

The reason they did this is so that there is some incentive to go up the merchant tree. You can bet anyone that has the merchant tent up will probably have stuff to sell. Many novice merchants and definitely many master artisans don't have much to sell. I see it being in the right place IMO.
