Thread: Harvester surplus maintenance and power

Newbie question, I know 
Now I always see these values when I buy a deed for a Personal Harvester, but I don't get the meaning. Couldn't find a thread on this, so I posted myself. Please help. Thank you.

This means that the harvester was 'used' prior to being sold. When you put maintenance money or power into a harvester, it cannot be removed. When the harvester is re-deeded, this money and power remain in the deed. So, they are selling a harvester with some money and power already in it, a value add.

??? Yeah that's logical and what I thought, but when I place these harvesters, energy and mainenance is always 0 (?) Even the personal harvesters I redeeded myself with a full1500 bucks and energy left had 0 maint./energy, when rebuilt. I don't understand this...

That doesn't sound right. When you redeed, the redeeding expense is deducted from the maintenance pool. If you only put 1500 in the maintenance pool (it costs 1500 to redeed a personal harv), then you will have zero in the pool after redeeding. That said, power shouldn't have disappeared. I do this all the time with my harvesters, but I don't use many personal ones anymore.
Hrm. Have you tried relogging then dropping the deed again to see if it has the missing power?

Which leads me to the next question: how can a harvester have e.g. 937 surplus maintenance, when you must have the full 1500 to redeed? Sorry for bugging you :-)

Easy!
1500 + 937 = 2437
The maintenance pool had 2437 credits in it at redeeding time.

Question's already answered, thank you. I will check the redeed process again to see, if it's right... but I'm almost 99% sure that I bought a BER4 Mineral two days ago with surplus power and maintenance andboth values were 0 when placed, because I added my usual 720*3 maint. and 600*3 energy and it was up to 3 days each.
