From my experience, I think the decay rate of vehicles is way too high. It should be 1/4 of what it is now. Also, I think vehicles should require power like harvesters. Each vehicle should use power at a given rate per hour of use.


Another problem I've noticed is the lack of garages in the galaxy. To fix this, Artisans should be given the ability to repair a vehicle with a repair kit. Each level up the Eng branch should grant a better ability to use the repair kits, and each level of the Eng branch should provide better repair kits. Kinda like stim packs in the Medic prof. At Master level, we should have the ability (with a Master level repair kit) to repair disabled vehicles.

I agree with you about the decay rate being too high, but not about garages.

Garages are meant to be the sole means of repairing vehicles so as to be another money sink in SWG. Also, garages will (hopefully) soon be available in player-cities which will increase the number of garages we will see across the galaxy.

I agree the decay rate is too high as well. It also seems inconsistent. Sometimes my swoop will decay 25 and then the next time it's 50. I know it's supposed to decay at store, open and every 10 minutes, but it doesn't seem that consistent to me.

I agree the decay rate is way too high but I disagree on the power and repair ideas. Architects will be able to build player city garages in about two months.


What we do need is the ability to name these vehicles. I think it should work like CH's pet names. Only a master Artisan could name it, they don't have to be unique on the server but just run thru the SWG name filter. Andwe could charge a little money for the service...

A swoop will decay 25pts at the time it's called, then 50pts every time after, or at least that's what I've noticed. Seems pretty consistent to me.

I agree with requiring the speeders to use power like the harvesters. As for the rest of your suggestions. I think the artisans have their hands on too much money now. Make the colors and name different and charge money for it. But the game is set up to send the repair money into limbo. It needs to stay that way.

Actually I'm a Master Artisan and I'm broke. What are you guys doing to earn all that money?


In an effort not ot hijack the thread I'll agree that power cells make the most sense for vehicles.


Here's another idea. Let's have garages actually mean something. Instead of charging to repair the vehicle how about if it was repaired as long as it was in storage at the garage. This would make it so you didn't see 100 empty vehicles on the screen and have quite so many people whooshing around town.

I'm at odds with you on another post. But I would like to see the name changes. However, if you're thinking of charging money for an easy thing like that. " I don't like it! " If you want to charge money, how about customizing speeders with different colors and pinstripes?

How can you be broke?Do you sell what you make?Do you sell what you harvest? I make 2.75cpu even on the crappy stuff.
