Thread: Really dumb newb artisan question...

Ok, I got all excited when I was able to make bone armor (hit eng 2 last night), and when I try to build anything such as bone boots, it tells me I am missing a required piece. The problem is that the required piece is optional, and when I mouseover it (something like "armor enhancement" or something like that) it give no info on what I actually need to put there.
So any ideas what this required optional piece is? And why it tells me it's optional if it's required?

The Bone Armor Segment isn't optional, it's required by the boots (or any other bone armor piece). The Armor Segment Enhancement that goes into the Armor Segment is.

If I remember correctly the "optional" piece is named the same, if not similarly, to the piece you need.
Every bone armor piece requires a "bone armor segment" which is a component you make in addition to the final assembly of a bicep, bracer, etc.. so that's the piece I suspect you're missing.
Make a "bone armor segment" from your tool (it's listed with the rest of the armor) .. that and your fiberplast panels, and you should be home free..
