Is this correspondent going to be listened to, or just ignored like the last 3 TH?

Please whoever gets it can you ask for positive things--i.e. improvements and additions. No nerfs of any sort (that aren't obvious bugs)! Even if you do get ignored again please ask for positive things because on the off chance that the developers actually listen to crafters (we will forgo the possibility of understanding for some other fantasy tale) they might randomily pick one thing to add. No this if 'done correctly'--assume that it won't be done correctly, but positive things are more likely to at least be partially useful.

Well I'm tossing my hat into the ring.

I've been an Artisan since beta, and see alot of changes in the profession and been a Master Artisan in Live for a long time now. I can say that I only grinded 1 skill box in Artisan tree ENG 4the rest I earned by getting the exp from orders and giving gifts to people and Noobs.

You can find me around Bestine on Starsider. I am a noob helper you is always searchable and will answer your questions the best that I can.

I am willing to start a Test Center char so that I can better report on changes comming down the Artisan pipeline, and will do my best to furthure the Artisan porfession.

Oh an yes I am an avid board reader.

I know that I dont need to say this to you but I would just like to inform you.

And if there is any Novice crafters out there I will be glad to answer your question, just send me a /tell when I am online or an in-game mail and I will answer you as best as possible.

· Are you knowledgeable about the Artisan profession?

· Are you a community leader?

· Can you objectively identify relevant issues and distinguish them from simply passionate arguments?

· Do you like organizing information and corresponding with other members of a community?

The Development Team is looking for a volunteer correspondent for theArtisan Profession. Participation is completely voluntary and you can stop helping out at any time. We’re just looking for someone who can help us sort through the various issues for this profession.

Some things that you need to consider when applying:

· Developing online games takes a long time. Results happen over long time involvement.

· Player Correspondents should be leaders in their community and set a positive tone.

· Player Correspondents should understand the technical aspects of playing the profession and the needs of their community.

· Player Correspondents should be in touch with the communities concerns, understanding the essence of why players pursue their chosen profession.

If this is something you are interested in, please write a short paragraph on why you think you would be a good candidate and email it to [email protected]. Please put Artisan Correspondent in the Subject Line. By submitting this email to us, you agree to allow us to contact you in connection with Star Wars Galaxies and agree that all correspondence with and material submitted to SOE will be the exclusive property of SOE and SOE may use such materials without limitation and in its sole discretion.

After we have reviewed the submissions, we will pick one person to be our correspondent. We will set them up with a special community title here on the forums and ask them to help highlight for us the relevant issues relating to this profession.

We will still continue to monitor the forums and read as many threads as we can. The correspondent is just to help us focus on the top issues and community concerns of the profession.

Thank you.

Artisan Correspondent? Oh, I remember her. She has me on her ignore list from the 3rd day I signed up, because I sold mis-named Stim A's on the Bazaar. That made me an official Tempest Legend...

I've repented and done my penitence since then, but there are still Stompy Stim A's floating around the server... A few in museums, actually.

Being an Artisan myself, I might as well toss my hat in the ring.

Has anyone heard from TH on this? I sent in an application last week and haven't even gotten an acknowledgement that it was received. A PM to Thunderheart inquiring about the current status has also gone unanswered.

Maybe it always takes this long, but it seems that we should be able to at least know when the next correspondent will be chosen.

TH is probably busy with the BIG PATCH TM . Give him some time. The devs in this gave do an awesome job keeping us involved... When people complain about dev involvement they should try and get a dev to reply on any of the other MMORPGs out there. Nothing's going to happen to the artisan profession that can't wait a bit longer.
