Thread: artisan miission help plz

Welcome to artisan. You made a good decision.
You don't need to sample to complete the mission. You need to *survey* until you find a concentration of the specified resource (metal, gas, or ore) of at least the required concentration (usually 60 to 70 %) and at least 1024 km away from the mission giver.
My suggestions:
First, don't take ore missions. It's hard to find ore in high concentrations for some reason.
Next, open up your survey tools for metals and gas and see which one currently shows the most different types. Take missions to find the type that is currently most abundant. You'll have a much easier time.
For the sake of discussion, lets say your planet currently has more kinds of gas showing on the survey tool than metal. (if you don't have a gas tool, make or buy one).
Step 1: Survey through all the kinds of gas until you find the one that has the highest concentration right where you are. Follow that vein until you find a concentration of 70% or more. If you are lucky it will be right there in town. MAKE A WAYPOINT.
Step 2: Now, go to the mission terminal and get 2 gas missions. Use the refresh button to get ones at least 500 or over, if you wish. Next, go to the shuttlport and get a round trip ticket to another city (not another planet). The cheapest trip will do.
Step 3: When you get to the new city, repeat step 1. You will pleasantly find that when you complete step 1, you also completed both missions you took in step 2. MAKE ANOTHER WAYPOINT. When you repeat step 2, simply return to the city you came from, go to the waypoint you made, sample, and tada! 1000+ credits.
Takes time, but you can build up a nice purse in an hour.
Oh, and collect some grinding material and grind for experience while you wait for shuttles.

I too was very confused about those missions at first. I thought that I had to actually sample the resource and bring it back somewhere! Once I figured it out, all was well. I've had great luck with gas and some of the mission terminals offer 600-900 and up credits for the stuff.

Because im a newbie, i dont have any transportation yet and have to run all the back and try it again, just to recieve the same results....can anyone be a good samaritan and help me out???
