Hi guys...
As many people have reported, with the pach that went live yesterday, there is a major problem with vehicles that are being crafted right now. The problem seems to show itself in two scenarios:
A) Any vehicle that is crafted from scratch POST patch has the bug of having an unwavering 1500 HAM.
B) Any vehicle that was CRATED BEFORE the patch also has this bug, if the deed is taken from the crate after the patch.
Deeds that were created before the patch but not crated seem to work fine.
I know there are several threads about this very topic, but they all very quickly turned into rant threads.
I just wanted to get a post going that informs the developers about this issue because I think it should be considered a fairly high priority item. There is a very high potential for a lot of money lost here for players. I personally invested in several hundred thousand credits worth of steel prior to the patch, and began making crates of the speeders for sale after the patch.
I guess I have a concern that there will be no way to tell just what the HAM was "supposed" to be on the vehicles that are generated with the bug. So I'd like to know what the handling will be for this. I'd reommend tracking anyone who has generated a vehicle since the patch that has a 1500 point HAM and just upgrading their vehicles to an "average" value. I realize some people will lose in this deal, while others will make out like bandits... but it will at least make things a lot more bearable compared to where they are now.
A 1500 HAM on a bike means a very HIGH maintenance rate. Of course most people will just want to replace those bikes to get a cheaper maintenance.
Devs, can you let us know:
A) What is the plan for this? Hotfix? Next publish?
B) Are you going to fix the bikes that are currently bugged, or just fix the future ones?
I'm assuming you'll hotfix since this is a new bug that got introduced with the last patch. But we'd just like to know, and I think that may help stop the silly ranting.
