You get apprentice exp. by training skills to another player. When another player has the exp for a skill, and you already know the skill you:
1) Group
2) Select "Teach" from the players radial menu.
3) Select the skill they need to learn.
After they accept the training you'll recieve AP exp.

I trained someone for the first time today. The system said I earned 40 ap, but when I checked my skills, it said I had none. Anyone know what's up with that?
