My apologies if this has been brought up - I scanned the board and didn't see anything there. I might have missed it in the postie threads, but I don't think so.
Personally, I'd like to be able to support my faction through a non-combat mission. And I know I can do delivery missions, but I'm a master artisan, not a messenger.
I know getting contraband is a smuggler kind of thing. But there is still a lot an Artisan could do to help a faction. To my mind, that is something that is really missing from the game. Unless I take up a combat profession, there is nothing GCW-wise I can do except run delivery missions.

I got some faction points for running a survey mission an imperial NPC offered me in the wilderness. Maybe they offer crafting missions too?

We've had a number of discussions on how to get non-combat folks more involved in the GCW. This is but one of many good ideas I've heard.
I'm expecting the GCW to get some much needed changes both during and after the combat revamp.
I'd love to see crafters take a more active role in the war.
Take care,
Guru
