I've only recently started hunting for these and, before I blow a lot more cash, figured I should get some questions answered.
Artisan Experimentation skill goes towards not getting crit fails?
Artisan Experimentation gives more experimentation points?
What is the equation for getting 1 more experimentation point? 10 skill points = 1 expermentation point?
Is there a max for experimentation? (I mean is 10 points the limit or is it 11, 12 or higher)
As Master Artisan with 100 to both skills, what is the maximum amount of skill mods for each skill would I need to find? What is the cap on these skill?

Artisan Exp gives more experimentation points, and yes, 10 points of experimentation = 1 experiment point. The max experiment points is 12 for non-humans, and 14 for humans. There is a cap of +25 Artisan Exp additional points that you can get from skill tapes on top of your max that you get for Master Artisan (which is 100 for non-human, 115 for human due to the species bonus).

Very informative, thanks!
Is there an aseembly cap and do you/anyone have any observations on that skills effectiveness at or near the cap?

The assembly cap is +25 as well, and since no species gets an Artisan Assembly bonus, the max points that you can reach is 125 for Artisan Assembly. It's hard to say with 100% certainty whether or not the 25 additional assembly points make a huge difference, but my undestanding is that they do. I do most of my crafting in a 'crafting' city (I think it's referred to as a research center) and with +25 to assembly tapes, using nearly perfect tools and crafting stations, and I get very few critical fails in the assembly phase of crafting... so all of those items together will give you much more success in crafting.. I hope this helps! Good luck.
