Thread: Question about extra experimentation points and artisan products...

I am a master artisan (human) with a +5 skill tape for a total of 2 extra skill experimentation points. My question is, what items could I make that would benefit from the extra 2 points? I mean, most items can be fully experimented with only 10 exp points. And basic weapons and bone armor have very little demand. Is there anything I'm able to make that really make a difference with the2 extra exp points?

Also, I know there are some things in the novice elite professions that use artisan exp instead of the required profession, such as crafting stations at novice architect. Are there any other novice level elite items that use artisan exp that the 2 extra exp points would help with?

Thanks for the help!

Only schematics gained in Artisan use Artisan experimentation. Every elite crafting profession uses its own experimentation. ::re-reads your post:: I thought the artisan experimentation on crafting stations was a bug that was fixed a while ago...

And there aren't a whole lot of things that really benefit from more artisan points, since the majority of items either have no experimentation, or only a single line (which can be maxed with 10 points).

One thing that you might want to look into would be the artisan level foods. Those have four categories, so the extra points will be beneficial. Although very few non-chef foods have much of a market. Travel Biscuits (+terrain negotiation), Dustcrepe (reduce duration of existing DOTs), and maybe Jawa Beer (+Mask scent) could have a market, since those effects aren't available in any chef-level foods.

Another decent artisan food is the exo-protein wafers. They act like Synthsteak giving a % damage reduction for a certain number of attacks. But they only have 5 filling so you can pop them like tick tacks.

I can verify that Crafting Stations still use Artisan Experimentation... I just made 4 of them last week.

I find the extra points come in handy for bone armor and in cases crit fails....
