I just built my first harvester and had a question, If i let my maintence fees go will the harvester be destroyed and can I get the materials from the hopper? Also is there any other way to pay the fees without going all the way out there to them? Thanks for answering

the quality immediatly begins to go down as soon as u place it. the fee's on mineral harvesters seem to be around 650 a day, while power harvesters will cost you about 2000

oops forgot to mention this. if you do not pay the maintenance, the qualtiy does go down and eventually will go boom. also as the quality of the hardware goes down, so will the harvesting results from the harvester.

I'll look like a newbie, so be it but.... I have survey 3, eng 2, and I can't get a harvester...

Which begs the question (not how much of an idiot I am, but) how does one create a harvester? Thanks in advance...

Thanks ukman and sbluez you have to have Eng. 3 and then you create a deed. After that you find a place you want to build and click on the deed. Also how long does the harvester take to go boom? ::Sigh:: it seems half of my game timefrom now onis going to be maintence.

Hi guys. I'm just getting to Eng. 3 and I've been thinking about harvesters. How the heck do you come up with 650 to 2000 credits a day? I've been in the game for a couple days now and I just now have (barely) over 1000cr in my account. I must be doing something wrong if we are expected to support a harvester and a power generator. Any advice?

I'm running delivery missions until I can get to an advanced profession and actually make something people would want to buy.

I'm an artisan on Corellia (Gorath server), Eng III and Survey III. I haven't had any trouble making money. I sell enhanced damage CDEF weapons for 250 a pop on the Bazaar and they all move very well. I've even had a few people seek me out for extra orders. The weapon powerups are kind of meh (oddly, they seemed to sell better at ~250 credits than at ~150 credits), but once I point out that you can get a 10% bonus to min/max damage or attack speed, people are usually interested.

So if it costs 600-2000 credits a day to run a harvester, that's 3-8 guns I need to sell a day. I think I can swing that. Ah, weaponsmithing, financing my dreams ...

That is easy, just sell resources in 100 unit lots on the bazaar. I will sell 40 and 80 units lots of inorganics as well for medic types (there stuff requires units of 8, so I try to sell a multiple of that and sell smaller units so they don't have to mine it themselves). I make about 5-10k per day depending on how active I survey/sample. If you don't have the time to do this, you might try making a deal with other artisans to manage their harvesters for a part of the take or go into business with others and share the costs.

Bone armor is your financial salvation. I've been selling chest pieces for 3k a pop and i think i can sell it for al little bit higher. Plus scouting and getting hide is a nice way of making sure your toon can handle a little scrap with anyone who tries to cross you.
