Ok I'm at Survey IV now and I have seen several posts on resources that I know aren't in my survey tool. What's up with that? For example, my survey tool only show 2 types of copper and I know I've seen more than that on this board and other web sites. Is it an issues with my tools effientcy, does it change depending on what server your on, or does it change depending what planet your one? What am I missing?

Different planets have different resources. (For example, Corellian Hardwood can only be found on Corellia)

Different servers have different resources.

Even the same planet, on different servers have different resources.

There are a BUNCH of resources out there that you've yet to explore...if everything was readily available, then there'd be no difficulty there. =D Just go to different planets, and you'll see different resources.

Oh ok, I assumed that you'd see all known elements, but that did not mean that they would exist on a given planet.

So the list IS dynamic, that makes more sense.

Makes since that some components or resources may only be found on certain planets or may be unique to a planet. I had the same questions. I though my scanner was not detecting some ores because it needed to be a high quality or effiency but it make since it only displays the resources on the planet you are on.
