One correction to rols_cerentz post .... schematic revocation is not in release. It was removed sometime in the transition from beta 2 to 3. Bit of a shame in my opinion, as rols says "this isn't a problem" with revocation.
Rols is right about the demand for CDEFs, though it's because weaponsmithing experimentation is so screwed up, not because of the marksman tree. The newbie marksman will be certified for other weapons in about an hour of fighting. Take that as a warning, when/if the fix weaponsmithing, the market for CDEFs will likely shrink. Be prepared for that time.
If you want to sell, you'll need to do the work of finding a market niche. It may be a product with insufficient supply (can we craft fishing bait? it's expensive and I want some, if not, DEVs add it to Dom II) or it may be a location with insufficient supply (players dont want to travel to distant bazaars to pick up goods). And always experiment your goods to their full potential.
Finally, be realistic. It is not possible for you to sell 100 CDEF weapons a day. There is not enough demand for weapons to have all crafters selling that kind of volume. You will have to craft and delete if you want to advance at a reasonably quick rate. If you're happy with a slower rate, then you may be able to sell all you craft.
I'd like to help a bit more, but remember, this is business, we're competing for sales. I'm all for giving advice on quality crafting, but if I told you about prime products or markets, they wouldn't be nearly so lucrative any more.

Even though schematic revocation didn't go in the game, the same effect willl be present, though not as extreme.
That is, if you're a master droid engineer, and one of the few people on the server capable of making droids that are in high demand, do you want to spend your time making batteries? No, if they're available at a small markup, you'll buy them ready made by lower level crafters.
I think the component business could be a big help to the slower-to-level crafters.
Consumables, like weapon power-ups, could also be a big market. It's unlikely a master weaponsmith will be putting much time into flooding the market with these, but marksmen need them, and they'll need a new one every 100 shots.

...makes sense in regards to Real Life, but in this game. I have a feeling that it will severely affect the player run economy, especially for those that are the newest of newbs...
