Thread: where is this information??

I really need to learn about factories and how to use them. I am new to the artisan profession and im having trouble finding the info i need.
also. where can i find out about the different crafting equipement i can put in my house and how to use it?

Have you looked through the FAQ's and guides post at the very very very top of the board? I was looking through it yesterday and it has a number of stickies and suggestions on places to look about harvesters and factories. One place they mention and may have a sticky too is the archatect forum FAQ on Harvesters and Factories.

the resources also have to be the same ones used to make the schematic.

To use a factory to make crates of items you need to have: a schematic for the item to be made, all the resources specified in the schematic ( multiplied by the # of items you want to make), power for the factory, maintenance for the factory, and the factory deed ( of course). Make sure you have the exact resources specified by the schematic, you can examine itin your datapad also check the # of items it will make, 1000 is max.
Now to determine which type of factory you will need, you need to match the crafting station/tool type used to the factory type.
There are4 types: Equipment (weapon/droid/general), Wearables (clothing/armor), Food (food/medicine), Structure (structure). Remember a factory is a structure and needs 1 lot and somewhere to place it.
