Hey,
I have finally decided to put these babies on my vendor since peeps do use them periodically just in case of a break down in the boonies. Anyway, what price are most MA putting on BARQ repair kits and customization kits?

Actually, this kind of is a trade forum question because prices vary so much from server to server any information you get here will be more or less meaningless.

Anyway, for what it's worth:

Customization kits I usually sell for about 3k each for a 7 charge kit.

BARC Repair kits I don't make very many of, but when I do I place them on my vendor for 1 million per kit. They take longer to sell at that price, but it saves me having to go to space everyother day to mine the resources to make them.

Good luck!

On Chilastra, I sell 8-use VCKs for 5k in the bazaar or 4k on my vendor, and they sell out quick (especially on the bazaar).

I don't make BARC repair kits.

BARC repair kits priced at 100K sell almost instantly on my server. I guess we don't have alot of people gathering the asteroidal minerals and that is pushing prices up.

Thanks for the input I did a vendor search last time I logged in and found that the customization kits were going for about 6k and the repair kits for 300k, don't know if they are selling at those prices.

Seen some huge prices on the repair kits.
Granted mining asteroid resources is a major pain in the bottom, but is the average noob going to be able to afford to spend millions or even tens of thousands on a Repair kit? Probably not. Cheapest i've seen them was 40k on Chimaera.

I agree that the average newbie isn't going to be able to afford these, but you can blame the devs for that. Let's look at the BARC repair kit:

  • It requires 1500 units of asteroid resources.

  • Assume that each of those asteroid resources can be sold in space at a price of 20 cpu (I think this is about right, but there may be a price that's even higher that I'm not aware of.)

  • Assuming you can buy the resources at 20cpu (unlikely), a BARC repair tool will cost you 30,000 credits to make. Or, if you harvest them yourself, you've got an opportunity cost of 30,000 credits by not selling them in space yourself.

  • To a new player, even our underestimated cost of 30,000 credits is a price well out of their price range.

In addition to all of that, youhave to remember that there aren't alot of newbies who kept their BARC. Every new player that I've met who received the BARC from buying the Total Experience package very quickly sold it for easy starter cash. So the target market for these kits is not the newbie player-base, it's the vetern player-base that bought all of the newbies' BARCs.

Of course, the irony of this is that the only new players who can afford a BARC repair kit are those that no longer have a BARC because they sold it.

What will you do when they fix the garage bug? About the 7 mill price tag though. What are the resources selling for on you Radiant? If they are outrageous (I do not see them being that high) then the price could be justified. I do think that the price will remain high until they increase the rate at which they can be mined. I can space mine on my alt but I chose not to because it is just not worth my time right now. I can make more money running missions than I can sitting in front of a rock and chipping it up and not to mention the fact that space mining is about the most boring thing I have ever done in the game. It needs some serious attention from the devs before it will be something that is done widespread.

Hordaka I have looked on SF for a good price as well and the best indicator I have so far is the fact that resources are selling for 75cpu right now. I think that is about right but still is not worth the boredom and time to me.

These are selling (or listed) for 250k on Naritus...but with the current "bug" that allows anyone to fix the barc at any garage, I don't believe there is a market for them right now...atleast on Naritus. They sold when they first came out, but have not since then.
