Since the hotfix today, is anyone else having a problem with /selectDraftSchematic? When I use it, absolutely nothing happens.

The bigger question is why would you want to use it?
There is a better way:

Actually, I left the game completely and came back in and it worked.

Before I did this, I did try your method of using the /ui action defaultButton. While this is slick, because you don't have to fuss around with finding the bloody schematic number, I find that it is about 20% slower. This becomes significant when you're grinding Advanced Droid Frame Units to trade in for FSXP at the village.

I would dispute your claim of 20% slower.
The pause time can be adjusted to your personal situation (my machine is a little slower and I need a longer pause) and that tiny bit of time is more than offset by the immense amount of time and hassle you save by not needing to find the schematic number every time you start up again.

5% slower? Maybe.
100% less hassle? Definitely.
Life is too short to search for your schematic number every time you want to grind.

I don't know how draftschematic numbers work (I use the defaultButton option), but the numbers being of might have to do with the fact that weapon and armor upgrade schematics were removed in the patch. That might throw off the number.

Also, is there a line limit on a macro? I finally got mine to work and I made it to go through 12 crafters. It worked fine, but after I shuttled to a trainer and went back into the macro it cut off in the middle of the 5th station's macro. It's not hard to make a series of macro's but it'd be easier just to have one long one.

Schematic numbers change all the time.
They are not tied to a specific schematic but rather some obscure order that they appear in your datapad.

Any time you move from no crafting station to a public station to a private station, the schematic number could change.

It's almost certain to change every time you log out and back in.

Not always, but enough to be annoying.

There is a character limit on a macro. I don't know what that limit is off the top of my head but it will get clipped if it's too long. Unless you're grinding something extremely complex, you really don't need to cycle between more than 6 tools.

If you absolutely have to have all of those tools running, try making two different macros.

Call the first one "Group1" and the second "Group2"

At the end of the first macro, add the line: /macro Group2;

At the end of the second one, add: /macro Group1;

When the first macro finishes (tools 1-6) it'll activate the second macro (tools 7-12) and then restart the first macro when its done.

Elyssa, dispute what you want, but I have a 4 GHz system with 2 MB of cache, 4 GB of 666 MHz SDRAM, and 10,000 RPM SATA harddrives. I had to insert a pause of 1 second between the invocation of the tool and the /ui action defaultButton because it wouldn't work without it. Once I had it working, I grinded out 714 Advanced Droid Frame Units, keeping track of the time and comparing it to the time I had with /selectDraftSchematic.

I will not dispute the fact this technique is clearly more convenient. I have less hair for the times that I have spent trying to determine the right schematic number. However, it IS slower. In addition, I will also point out that the 1 second pause didn't always provide desirable results, but putting up with that was easier than increasing the delay more.

Based on where longer ones get cut off, the character limit is 990 characters.
