Hi, I know I've seen this somewhere before but I can't find it. Where is one of those good surveying macros?

My funny looping macro:

Macro:sample

/sample;

/pause 6;

/stand;

/pause 2;

/sit;

/think Yes, I'll be rich one day!

/pause 8;

/say Dude, don't you see I'm afk?

/pause 14;

/stand;

/macro Sample

Sampling, although it used to be action stat specific, still uses up your 2nd bar. You dont need to stand every 6 secs.

I suggest this.

/sample;

/pause 300;

/stand;

/sit; (optional)

/pause 400;

/stand; (if you used sit)

/macro (macro name)

I grinded artisan 2x and it works like a charm.

I'm sorry, call me a newb if you like but is that the exact wording for surveying. I'm not very good with surveying but I've grinded this before the refit and when I did that I found the exact wording for surveying. So could someone pretty please, tell me what the exact wording I would type into my macro would be?

Thank you in advance

This is the macro i used last night...

/stand

/pause 5

/kneel

/sample

/pause 200

/stand

/pause 2

/sit

/pause 50

/ui action toolbarSlot00

Please put macro icon in upper left F1 key spot, or change the toolbarSlotXX to the appropriate key.

Please remember that all macros are case sensitive - the S in toolbarSlot00 must be capitalized.

Please rememeber that you must have first surveyed a resource, and have the proper survey device on hand.

The second pause may not need to be as long, but I found that you seemed to get disconnected if you don't sit and stand every so often...

Hey!

The sampling time is one every 30sec. Why wasting 200-300 sec in pause?

But what happens when you hit the "you have found a rich . . ." Does it not mess up the macro? I though SOE implemented that to mess up minning Macros???

also instead of taking up a toolbar slot you can use the / command

if you call your macro Sample

at the end of your macro do a /macro Sample and it will autorepeat till you do a /dump

macro name: sample

/sample;

/pause 600;

/sit;

/pause 30;

/stand;

/macro sample

See http://forums.station.sony.com/swg/board/message?board.id=artisan&message.id=54388for a simple, good surveying macro. I used the "defaultButton" approach from the first response, and things worked perfectly just standing around in Theed, by the Artisan looking towards the Starport.

As an extra humor bonus, it was late at night and the Jedi were out playing in the square. Until one of them noticed me standing there, that is... spooked him since he thought I was a Bounty Hunter spotter ( level 55, wearing newbie clothes, standing around ) and suddenly the Jedi all vanished.

Ah, well, even with the aside, it took me less than 8 hours to sample my way through all of the boxes. And that's including the half-day I spent at work, leaving my poor toon at home to grind out the last box of EXP.
