I'm master artisan and novice architect and just set up my first vendor in my alt's house. I was finally able to get a 2nd house in the same city, and I had my alt place the house so I could keep all the lots for my arch/artisan character. So, I set up a vendor in the new house and go to move my inventory from one vendor to the other, but find out that what's up for sale in the first is showing up in the second, so they are linked. My question is, if I remove/destroy the first vendor, I wouldn't lose any of the items since they show in the second vendor, correct? Just want to make sure before I make a mistake and lose precious items....

No. only the items / offers / store room on the vendor you want to delete will be affected. The other vendor your liked to will be unaffected.

Anything on the vendor you destroy will be destroyed, period.

if it is for sell on offer or in stockroom, if it is on the vendor at destroy time it all goes bye bye

you must remove all items to inventory and list it on new vendor for it to be ON that vendor.

When you place more than 1 vendor you as the owner can view the items on your other vendors. I believe what he was asking is if he destroysone vendor will the items on his other vendors be destroyed.. and the answer is no, only the items/storeroom/offer on the vendor you are currently at will be destroyed.

actually I believe he is asking this. He has 1 vendor with items on it. He made a new vendor and can see the items from V1 on them. He is wanting to know if he can destory V1 and still keep the items because they show up on new V2.

The answer is no, as Ani said. All items on Vender 1 will be destroyed and lost if it is destroyedor deleted. As a merchant you are able to "see" all your merchandise for sale on one vendor..even tho they may be on 10 different vendorsin 10 different places... but each vendor has their own items..and as such, any vendor that is deleted loses all it's items (those for sale, those offered to it, and those in the stockroom).

To get items from V1 to V2 you have to retrieve and hand carry them all... once V1 is completely empty of items (You will get an email, or should lol) you can safely delete V1.
