i have been doing some crafting and i have been noticing the assembly doing some strange things...i have seen critical failure and still crafting and i have seen critical success but havn't seen what difference it has made...would it be worth getting the force sensitive assembly the next phase...please prove me wrong or correct...all opions matter.

assembly was basically removed from crafting if im not mistaken.. you cant have a critcal failure in crafting or it doesnt do anything from what I know.

Assembly critical failures were removed from the game, its the experimentation critical failires that remain - these basically decrease stats rather than increase them and can be very detrimental to a WS or AS for example where every experimentation makes the difference between a good and a crap item.

If you are going down the FS route, go for the FS Experimentation line over the FS assembly line - it is a LOT more valuable.

yeah the expermentation line is invaluable. I only have 2 boxes and have yet to fail more than once out of probably 2000+ hand crafted items. But the assembly line, unless something changes in the future is not needed at all as I see it.

this is what i have been thinking...so for the village quest the experimentations is the only thing worth going up in the crafting...will wait to see if the artisan corrispondant chimes in on this. he might have some insite that i am not finding.

assembly critical failure have been removed and critical failure on experimention have been tooned down some patches ago..

but assemble may still count since you get amazing sucess on assemble meaning you start with higher % on the part.

What folks don't understand is that you can still experience an assembly greater than "Critical Failure" and less than "Great Success". When this happens, it directly affects how much you can experiment on the item. For example, say you're crafting a vehicle with the resources having 999 for all the stats that make any difference in crafting a vehicle. During assembly, you can experience a mere "Success" and would not be able to take advantage of the full potential of the resources you put in (which should be able to let you make a 99.9% vehicle, but you might only be able to go as high as 90%). Unfortunately, I don't know the formula for determining the effect.

As a Master Shipwright since JTL launch, I do know that I have essentially "lost" large quantities of rare and ancient resources to less than "Great Success" assemblies. Ever since I obtained Force Assembly IV, I don't have to worry about it anymore.

I don't really know the answer to this question, but I have an experience that may be tied to it. I'm a force sensitive master crafter (all 4 trees). I did get a 'critical success' or whatever it's called when I was crafting an AV-21 recently. Basically, this gave me a success better than 'amazing success'. As a result, I ended up with a 100% AV-21, when the best I should have been able to get using the resources I had was 98%. All the other AV-21's I crafted that day using the same resources, etc, were 98%. I don't know if this is tied to assembly, or if it's pure luck.

wish you could remember if it was during the assembly part of crafting or on one of the experimentation...and there again it sounds as if it is so remote of a possiblity of getting that, does it realy sound as thou it would matter to anyone other than a crafter...NO disrespect intended. I have two reason for asking this and one if for the jedi bit...yeah it would probably not be worth getting. as for a force sencitive crafter...you bet your arrs i am going to get it with my alt that is going for master artisan...when i get it.

this also goes along with the bespin port and poyly cake for crafting. the only way to really check to see is to have 4 master artisan...2 human and 2 non-human. one human and non-human would just be master artisan, the other human and non-human would be force sensitive. then run test using the same station, crafting tool, in a place where there is no research facility, same resources, making the same item with no CAs. then we could get some numbers on weather or not the force crafting and foods help on the end product. HEHE...oh and don't ask me to help...i have no money but then again...recycled resources might be the bench mark to start from...any takers?

The critical success was during the crafting in my case - not experimentation. I didn't notice it say 'critical success' or anything - it just was a better part after construction than the other 6 I made at the same time. After experimentation, it was 100%, but that's because it started off better after the original craft.

Critical success. wow, didn't know that even existed. This might be the thing to convince me to finish my fs craft grind.
