Hi everyone. First post here. Anyways, I am currently on Naboo in the city of Theed and I click survey with my tool and get my results. The only problem is most of the results are either located in a building I can't get to, in the middle of the water (although I just swim past it and usually find a higher percentage past it), or I just cant find them. I was wondering what I should do when this happens. Should I continue on the path that the surveying was taking me and just go past the higher percentage and hope for a higher one in that area or go back to the last percentage I could actually stand on and start sampling. All help appreciated.

At the risk of sounding rude... try stepping outside the city. Most mines full of minerals are not found in the middle of town.

Don't forget your pistol, there are a lot of bandits out there.

You only need to be in the general area. In fact, I frequently survey while running. Just head in the general direction of the waypoint or highest percentage and keep surveying. Your waypoint will move automatically. (There's no need to stop at all, until you reach the area of highest concentration.)

And yes, sometimes the best sources ARE in the middle of the city. :-)

If you're a Novice Scout also, setup camp right over the resource spot. You'll recover from sampling faster and get Wilderness Survival XP. Don't forget to disband, as you get more XP than if you just leave and make your camp go "poof".

You can also send some DE interplanatary survey droids to all planets you need to survey. You get the results in about 30 minutes. But you must give a survey tool up each time you send a droid to survey 1 type of ressource on a planet thou.

These droids will only give you the names and types of the resources though. If you want stats, you'll have to actually go to the planet and sample.

Or, if you have the "Crate of Free Resources" veteran reward, you can use that and find the names of the resources returned in the droid email and save yourself a trip.
