Whats the best material to sample while trying to grind survey so I can get it up as fast as possible becuase it feels like its taking an entinity.

Material doesn't matter. You just need the highest concentration of whatever you can find.
Don't sample radioactive.

It does take an eternity, but it can be done. Grind some crafting while you're doing it, that's what I did, all 5 times I mastered Artisan.
