I've got 3 private crafting stations now, and am using the specific crafting tools in my inventory for them, but I still don't get the option to experiment.

Do you need to place the stations in a certain manner, because they don't seem to be working now?

Is there a way to find out if they are working or not?

Thanks

You have to be standing right next to the crafting station.

Run up to it until you can't run anymore.

I bougth one of these crafting stations, dropped it in my house, and tried. It didnt work.

I bought another one, tried in the same conditions. It worked.

I think there's a bug about them. Some seem to work, some not.

By the way, i cant use the input hopper. Does someone know how it works ?

You **edit** right the input hopper doesn't work. I lost thousands of resources after I dumped them into the hopper, and then watched them dissapear before my very eyes. I'm still **edit**ing pissed.

Hmm I could be wrong but I thought you had to also be targetting the station and have Eng I (most will already have Eng I I'm sure)....and part of me thinks that some items cant be experimented on (could be wrong here)

I think you're wrong Ashrid cause i dont have Eng 1 and I can use my crafting station (at least one of the 2 i bought). And i dont need to target it either. The only needs are to be very close to it and to use a specific crafting tool (and not the generic one).

Check the placement of the crafting station.. I've heard that if it's too far into a wall, they won't work..

This is only rumor, I havn't heard of anyone verifying this...

Well I know for a fact the items I am trying to make can be experimented on.. also I do have engineering 1-4 but I don't think you need that, you get + to artisan experimentation through domestic arts for instance too, in fact my artisan experimentation atm is maxed out.

I'll try moving the stations around, see if that works.. took me forever to get them placed neatly -.-

Thanks for the tips

problem seems to be you cant have more than one station active or something..

I placed my general crafting station, and it worked, I was able to experiment.

Then I placed my food station, and it worked, was able to experiment.

However, once the food station was placed, the general station no longer worked....

This really sucks -.- Got three stations..

I have 2 Stations across from each other in a Small House. Both work fine but you must be standing right in front of the one you are trying to use.

Jedi will be rare and difficult - No
Increased Dev communication - No
CU will balance combat - No
Most of the bugs from launch fixed - No
saintchuck will continue to pay - No

- I supported the CURB, the Devs and the attempt to make SWG a better game and have realized it didn't work so I'm quitting in less than 2 days and won't be tricked into coming back again. Trick me once, shame on you...

I put up a store next to my small house. I needed to make some torches that I wanted to put in it and needed to make some GP modules as part of the components for torch making. I was shocked to see that I had the option to experiment on each GP Module and did. Why I was shocked was because there was no crafting station in the store. It was next door in my small house. Now my store isright up next to my little house. Could the area of the crafting station's influence have reached as far as the hallway in my store next door?!
