Thread: Elite professions only for masters?
ok, i just made myself an artisan, i'm having a good time, catching up on a few books and t.v. while i sample and all. I'm dirt poor, all of 19 creds to my name, and i can't quite afford to put anything on the bazaar.
No, i'm not going to ask how to make money.
I was wondering, what Elite profession is likely to still want lower end items in about 5-7 weeks (casual swg player)
i've already started heading in the domestic profession, just because i know i'll need at least 2 levels if i want to make armor. and because i wanted to make food.
I don't want to spend all this time to get novice armorsmith or tailor just to find out that no one wants my lower quality cheap goods.
I've found as a Master Artesan that Architects will buy Electronic's GP modules, Power Conditioners and Energy Distributers. Other than that, I don't know of anything that elite professions will buy with any regularity from artisans. (Except resources, but many of them have made enough money that they have their own fleets of harvesters going 24/7, so that is even pretty spotty at best)
Unfortuenately in a few more weeks (if not already)the entire Artesanprofession will be considered just a hurdle to jump on the way to an elite skill with only a VERY few exceptions. (named above)
I could also mention repair kits. Even though the elite professions are capable of making them, many are far too busy to make them themselves, so there MAY ba a market there if you can find it.
It is difficult to find a niche in a profession that is required to gain the other professions, but if you enjoy it, and can suppliment your income through other means (missions) then I say enjoy being an artisan and keep your eyes/ears/othervarious sensory organs open for the need for artisan created items.
