I have gotten eng 3 and build a deed for personal miner,

The problem I have is everytime I try to use it no matter where I am it says ,

Unalbe to build here

or

You are not in the right state

Can anybody please tell me what I am doing wrong.

'Unable to build here' means you are either too near a mob lair, or in a town's no-build zone.

'You are not in the right state' means you either just stopped running or you're laying down or some such. Make sure you're standing, and if it says that after running, just wait a minute and it'll clear up as the server catches up to what you're doing.

Also, make sure that the area around you is relatively flat. You can't build on a slope.

So finding a good spot is not an easy task?

Your problem sounds like you're not going far enough from town. Expect to have to go a long way from town. At least 1000-1500 meters.

And yes, harvesters are worth it. I can't play a lot, so they have become an invaluable tool for harvesting resources. 750 credits in maintenenace and 600 power a day are all you need to gather anywhere from 1200-2000 units a day.

Also, what I did was make sure the first things I harvested were large amounts of the resources used for making harvesters (aluminum, steel, and ore). At first you have to buy your power, but wind harvesters solve that problem too.

Unless you macro harvest, using these personal harvesters are you first step into a larger world, of HARVESTING! Resources are required for making the good people buy. When artisans start they pretty much use the sample command to gather resources. After a while people need LARGE amounts of a variaty of different resources and these harvesters are the best way to get them. You put in money and power, and the machine does the work while you wander the galaxy, take a nap, or log out and go to work like most of us average folk.
