I was playing around found a minor and talked to it, It gave me a mission where I was to go out and find a resource. It gave me very little info other then he was looking for ORE. I looked at the data pad and I only got mineral Ore, EFFICENCY 53% name of the guy, credits, and xxxdiffuclity. My question is does the 53% efficency mean I have to find a ore with a density of 53% or do I need 53 units of ore?

That's the % of the resource, the number that shows up on your survey tool.

Also, when you do survey missions, pay close attention to system messages. If you arrive on or near your 53% density, begin to survey, and receive the message "survey too close," it means you are too close to the NPC and must find a spot farther away (typically off planet, but depends on the difficulty). Sometimes going to another city is sufficiently far enough away. Also, if you travel to another planet, survery, and still don't succeed, you can try switching resources. For example, if the mission simply calls for Ore, try switching to intrusive, extrusive or sedimentary types.

These missions could be a little clearer.
