Just a quick question. Is there any way to separate the highquality ore from the common ore? (say you mine 90 copper units.. some of them said they were 'rich') .. well I guessa few morequestions. How much do extractors cost per day, cost to purchase, how many resources can they mine at once?

Thanks... I'm a noob

When you are mining one copper-ore then the stats are the same for that ore. If you find another type of ressource the stats can be different.

A harvester costs app. 1.000 cr when you buy it but talk with the merchant/artisian or who sell it to you. You might get it cheapere. If you are on Eclipse then mail me in game ;o)

It costs app. 15 cr/30 min to run a harvester. That means you have to pay your harvester 720 cr pr day to run. You also need power and a wind-harvester costs twice as much to run. The purchase-price for at wind-harvester is app. 3.000 cr.

It is fastere to sample then let the harvester run, but when you are not online then the harvester is doing it's job. The normal rate is 2 units/minute but on a 66% spot I get 1.32 units/minute.

I hope you can use my answers... I'm also a noob, but a 14 days old noob ;o)

The ammount your harvester collects is based upon how rich the location you place it upon, I put a chem extracter on a 86% fertile survey location, It collected 46 untis in a few minutes. Harvesters, if placed in rich areas, far out produce the samples you can collect, and you don't have to waste half your time resting..<wink> On the other hand, put it in a fairly dry spot, you'll go broke feeding it energy, and maintenance. Hope that helps, And yes, those surveying devices the Artisans make at lower lvls, are worth their weight in gold.

I believe those "rich" samples you are getting just means you are getting more units per sample (i.e. 10 units instead of 8) but they are of the same quality.
