Who makes the crates used in factories?

The factories themselves create the crates with the items already inside.

I believe they are called factory gnomes, each factory comes with a few of these gnome so dont sweat it wondering where you can buy these guys. I only use equipment factories, so Im not positive about the other style factories coming with these gnomes.

If you examine your factory you wont be able to tell how many of these gnomes come with your factory, I think mine only has a couple cause it takes a long time for them to crate up 100 items.

Food and Chemical Crafting Gnomes tend to work harder, as I have seen them able to cram 25 items into a singe crate.

My lazy Structure Factory Gnomes however, only put 10 of anything into a crate.

I cannot comment on Wearables Factory Gnomes, however I have heard rumors that they are allergic to the mothballs used to preserve clothes.

Wearables factory gnomes are able to fit 50 metal fasteners in a crate. Possibly jewelry settings too, I don't quite remember. They are experts at space utilization, as can also be seen by the fact that they can fit 25 spec ops packs in a single crate the same size as one that holds 25 synthetic cloth.

Yeah I heard these guys are a little Obsessive compulsive.

I don't know about their efficiency... I keep getting only 25 little bitty computer chips in these large crates... heck, it's the same size crate they use for Advanced Droid Brains, and each one of those takes 4 of each!

I'm tired of digging through all those packing peanuts when I open a crate of Electronics GP modules... and what ARE they doing in there, making vlanking noises when my factory isn't making anything?
