Thread: how can i get resource density to low to locate a sample at a 75% on the survey device?

What I notice is this usually means a new resource on that planet. I get that when the resource just shifted. How long it stays that way I'm not sure.

There is a current "feature" that when a new resource appears due to resource shifting, it is unavailable for sampling for approximately 1 day. This is only for personal sampling. Harvestors can harvest for the resource immediately.

Note however that this isn't tied into the Artisan survey mission generator code-- it's possible to be given a mission to sample some resource before that resource becomes available for sampling.
Very annoying.
