Thread: Question on survey tools...
I've decided I would like to pick up the survey line and get into the business of selling other resources besides hide/bone/meat. I picked up the artisan skill today and made all of my survey tools with steel I bought from the bazaar. The tools I made all turned out to be 0% experimental effectiveness. My question is this: Is there any benefit to using a super high quality survey tool over a newbie artisan created one?
Also, is it worth it to take up to business III to get a vendor in my house for resources or do most people get resources from the bazaar?
I get a lot of my resources from the bazaar when buying. Usually a larger selection of the same resource, so I can find the best price. I don't often go to a player vendor selling resources unless I stumble across them because I don't know if they are carrying the resources I want.
As for survey devices, the quality of the device effects your sampling. It doesn't effect your surveying. A high quality device will effect your success rate on sampling, less failures basically. I don't believe it effects how much you sample. That is mostly the concentration of the resource and your skill.
