Can someone who has gotten the firework show packs to work please post a step-by-step list of what you did?

I saw one go off the other day and it looked great!

Each time I ask people how they work and then I try what they said, it doesn't work!

Please help!

ive gotten them to work by double clicking from inventory and by making them a hotkey, got them to work a few times on the radial menu if i was kneeling and clicked it a hundred times, but the hotkey works the best.

They do work....just takes many many tries sometimes. I have gotton all the ones I made to work.

To make them is very tedious though...

1) Make the fireworks you want to use
2) Make the show package
3) Radial the show package, add event
4) Select the firework you want to add
5) Repeat step 3 and 4 for as many fireworks as you want to add to it
6) Launch the sucker!

I will try the instructions given and see if it works. They prompted a new question:

When I am adding the event, will I see the fireworks that I put in the showpack when I crafted it?

OR

Do I need additional single fireworks that are not part of the show pack?

I ask this because when I selected "add event" last night nothing appeared to happen. I saw nothing.

Let me know.

I also have heard that each show is limited to 20 fireworks (or something like that). Again, is that 20 showpacks, 20 individual fireworks built into 10 showpacks, or 10 showpacks with an additional 20 fireworks?

I am determined to get these things to work!

Thanks for all your help!

Maybe I can help you out. I have been using these for awhile now and they do work just fine.

1) make all the fireworks you will want to include in each package. if you experiment these out, depending on resources, each firework should have upwards to 9 uses or more.

2) make the fireworks show package. you need one of these for every 20 fireworks you plan to light off...yes, 20 is the limit.

3) have the show package and your fireworks in your inventory together. hit the radial menu and add the events...each event is the single firework you want launched...in the order you add them. So that firework with 9 uses will actually fill 9 different slots. Mix your events up with various firework types for full affect. As you add events you will see the "uses" of each firework you selected dwindle....basically the show is launching them in the order for you.

I like the show because I can launch and then step back and watch. The alternative for smaller shows is to load each firework in an F key....having a dozen or so across the top. As you kneel down, just start hitting as fast as you can...F1, F2, F3, etc.. right down the line and back again, repeat until all are launched or used up. Very nice affect but this does tie you to the launching process making it tougher to watch.

With the F key approach above I have launched 12 fireworks with 9 uses each very easily. 108 fireworks going off makes a nice show. I have done 5 packages together, 100 fireworks, to the same affect...although the packages take much longer to set up. Loading 12 shows in F keys launches 240 fireworks quickly.

I might suggest putting together firework showsas an alternative source of income for some artisans. I enjoy setting them off....and I have done a few large launches, say 100 works, and with large groups you get tipped a fair amount.

I have 3000 fireworks currently made and ready to be loaded into packages. I am hoping to figure out if my factories will load the package...but it looks like not. Either way, I plan to do a 3000 firework show hopefully by this weekend. I will announce it on our Radiant forums once I know for sure and then hope to get a good turnout....should be good fun.

A really good tip for fireworks is definately add them into your quick launch bar at the top! works everytime 4 me,

And if you are letting the fireworks off or watching them at a close range GOTO first person mode (can be done by wheel on mouse zooming right in) and you can see the whole sky perfectly along with all the fireworks going off! I currently have 8 firework packages ready to let off in Kadaara in Naboo when it gets Dark and I get online tonight! Looking forward to it!

Also firework show packages give a good complexity level for grinding.

Thanks guys. I now know what I was doing wrong. Will give it a test this evening!

So, one final question -- when you load the fireworks in your inventory into the show packs do they disappear from the inventory when you have used them up? Or do you have to haul the show packs and all the assigned individual fireworks?

Can't wait to play with these. I am playing music at a fashion show on Naboo this weekend and promised to do fireworks as a closer. This will make it much easier and I will actually be able to watch my own fireworks for a change!

Why do the server gods have to make everything so complicated? Moya grew up in a small forest village on Kashyyyk. How can they expect him to know these things?

u should be able to load the fireworksin the fireworkspackage while creating the package, that way u couldmake aschematic to use for a factory because making them by hand is extremely tedius.
