Are the quality numbers (conductivity, heat resistance, overall quality, etc.) consistent for one specific resource type?
For instance, I dig up some TypeX copper in one corner of Corellia and it has conductivity of 500. Then I travel to a far distant corner of Corellia and again survey for TypeX copper. When I find it, will it have the same conductivity of 500? Or will a different source of TypeX copper (same planet) have different numbers?
I wanted to know because if they are the same over the whole planet, I can save time by just getting a quick sample of each copper (for example) and then focusing on the one type with the characteristics I need. Thanks in advance for your help.

I'm pretty sure the characteristics of the given resource is the same all over the planet. I'm not 100%though..

Yes, if you dig up some copper, for example, called Dinemiw (I'm pretty sure names are random- I happen to have copper by this name in my inventory) and then go to the other end of the planet, or even another planet, and survey for Dinemiw again, you will get the same stuff.

I just started being an Artisan, so I have this Noob question. Does the quality of a certain resource differ from other planets?

Sometimes.
Use sites like http://swgcenter.com and http://swgcraft.com to get a list of resource qualities.
Most named resources are unique to that type and you probably won't find them in a different galaxy, but you might.
