Thread: Does damage to generators starts upon placement?

Did the person put money in it for maintenance? I have had that problem before. The maintenance pool is used whether the machine is on or off.

Yes, it is. If you put maintenance in something as soon as you place it, then it does't collect any damage - but otherwise, maintenance is a constant thing. Power on harvesters is something that only decreases while the harvester is turned on.

Thanks for the info. I'll be sure to have the person toss in a few credits when it's placed next time.

I had a friend plant a fusion generator for me, making me an admin, but the next day when I went to turn it on and toss maintenance in it, the generator had some 30% damage to it.


Is this how things are supposed to work, damage on a newly placed generator even before it's turned on?
