I assume ur talking about Surveying are u ? if so when u survey goto the waypoint then survey again and it should take u to next highest concentration of whatever u surveyed keep doing this till it levels out normally around 67% but can be higher then sample, repeat for whatever Resources u need but u may need to go farther afield so be careful out there

I've seen a lot of fields peaking out in the 40s lately, but there are still a good number of 90% spots out there. Generally yes, you will need to get quite far out to find those. I good way to tell if a field is worth following properly is to note the rate of increase across the survey grid. If it's 1% from say, top left to bottom right, you'll be chasing that field for a long time before it gets very high, if at all. Sometimes you'll see it go 10% from top-left to bottom-right. This means it's quite a small field, so won't take very long to find the peak.

70% take a bit of finding, but are quite commonly found.

It's a matter of finding each planets sweet spots. On Naboo, about 2k out of kadaara, there is always a 80% or better of something. Keren has a few as well. Most ore I find is outside Theed or lake retreat.

On the spot outside kadaara, I haven't moved my harvestors more than 300m in several weeks. Don't know if it's the same spot on every server, but every server will have a few sweet spots.

I have a suspicion the guy's talking about power, which is sometimes difficult to find above 30-40%.

30% on what? While resources sometimes only go to 20-30% that does not mean that is as good as it gets on a given planet.

For what I mine here is what I consider a placeable spot (I will never place on less), what I usually place on, and the highest I have seen in that order.

Ore
55% 62% 71%

Metals (ferrous and non-ferrous)
75% 85% 95%

Gas
80% 87% 97%

Chem
85% 90% 97%

Fusion
75% 85% 93%

There is no drop in the availability of resources, it is all the luck of the draw, resources are distributed randomly and their percentage is also random in a range. While some classes of resources never exceed 70%, others go as high as 97%. Any percieved change, is just that perception based on a too small sample that the observer has been exposed to.

I have surveyed since release and resource distribution has not changed and with even a moderate amount of effort you can place on good to great spots. You have to search though, and you have to be smart on where you search.

Once you get better at your game and refine your technique you will spend a lot less time surveying and find the choice locations.

One hint, never survey in mountainous regions, stick to plains or known placeable spots, there are a lot of them. Use mounts to assist in covering more ground.

I've been doing survey mission to make all of my money for the past month or longer. I can rake it in the way I do it too. I have a certain spot I go it - after every shift it has always had a 70% concentration in some type of resource around it. I can make cash quickly by doing them. Although it is rather boring.

I'm not new to the game but new to the Artisan Profession. How do you complete surveying mission. What mineral do you look for because i didn't see on specified and where do you take it when you gather it all. i made an AWESOME 49% efficency mineral survey device thats giving me 5 units at once and i don't even have surveying 1 yet.

If you want to make money doing survey missions safely, I have found that Theed is the place to do it. There is a set of terminals on the west side of Theed about 1000m from the Theed waypoint. It is near the cliff and between 2 waterfalls. There have always been some resource that is at or above 70% near this building and near the starport. so you just run back and forth between the 2 places. 1800cr if you can only do the low level missions and 3400 to 3600 credits if you can do the high level missions.

Tarthos: It isn't very clear, but ANY resource in the named category will do; 'Gas', 'Ore', etc, as long as it's high enough. The thing that confuses most new people to these missions is that you need to be at least 1024m away from the mission terminal/giver when you find the concentration, or it won't complete.

Just landing the Resource Survey on a high enough concentration is enough though; you don't need to sample, or deliver anything to anyone. I guess the mission giver will make his/her/it's own arrangements for the actual mining bit.

(Best way to do these is to scout out a city for a suitably high enough concentration, make a mental note of it, and then Shuttle to another city, and take two that need that type of resource. Shuttle back, survery and you're done. Rinse and repeat.)
