Thread: Holo told me to become a Master Droid Eng.
I just stared Artisan, I can make nice money with bh. and suggestings by master artisans.
I would really appreciate it.
just a few pointers.
thanks,
Get the biggest pile of metal and chemical known to man cause you are gonna need it. DE is over 1 million crafting xp and takes a significant amount more than any artisan based skill. You may find a lot of difficulty selling what you make as it is also the least useful class of all the elite Artisan classes:
weaponsmith=make combat weaponry
armorsmith= make armor to protect you
architects=make harvesters, buildings
DE=make broken and useless droids that follow you around and only a few have combat ability enough to distract whats about to killto give you a head start on yourrun.
Droids are toys with minimal use until the Devs make the combat droid tree and who knows when that will be.
also, if you get master artisan you can make components that you will need, otherwise you will be buying em
Grind basic mouse droids to Blueprints II then grind Advanced Droid Frame Units forever to mastery.
And please, out of respect for real Droid Engineers, don't wear the MDE tag.
I too, was a victim of the Holocron. Thankfully, I was already a Master Artisan/Armorsmith/Merchant when it happened, so mastering another crafting profession wasn't a big deal.
Except that I've come to like DE, and am in pain at its broken-ness.
With a good macro and obscene amounts of fiberplast and steel you can make Master DE in no time. Do a search for macro's on the forum or go to one of the Fan sites that have good macros available on them.
You should walk softly through the DE forum, however. Some of the DE purists take exception to the holocron chasers and will let you know it. Not all of them, just a few.
You don't need Master Artisan to get to master DE if you are intent on grinding and not learning the actual in's and out's of the profession. If your intent is to drop it for the next Holo profession, don't bother with master artisan. You only need the Master Artisan sub-components for actually crafting droids.
