I've seen be clothes recently with +8 surveying. Wondered what difference they would make as a master artisan. <shrug>

What if you only had FS survey and could get hold of CA that added another +20 to your skill would that allow you to get to the next level of range?

I think they're right, that the mods on CA's and BE clothes don't work. Try Chandad (food/drink) which actually does increase the range on your tools. There's a thread testing this mod in the BE forums, written by former BE correspondent ArthurDent.
