Since they came out ive had an awful lot of questions about the kits. Just thought the gun bunnies would like clarification
Q1. Why are the kits so expensive
A1. The kits are expensive because until recently the only people who space mined were shipwrights filling an order for "elite" multiplayer ship parts. There are very few space miners and as a result the price on the kits is high.
Q2. Will the prices drop anytime soon?
A2. Prices will drop after the rush on PoB parts. When the supply of kits becomes plentiful you can expect people to lower their prices. If your looking to sell kits, check your vendors and vendor search frequently... dont get caught holding 100 kits at 90cpu when everyone else is selling for 50k below your cost.
Q3. Do the kits have quality?
A3. No. They are all the same.
Q4. Where can i use the kit?
A4. You DO NOT have to be near a garage to use the kits. You can use the kits ANYWHERE!
Q5. Are there different kits to fix different vehicle?
A5. No... there is one generic kit that will repair any vehicle (including jetpacks).
Q6. I only see vendors selling them one at a time... how do i get more than one without filling up my inventory?
A6. The kits will stack automatically when you retrieve them from the vendor. Simply buy multiple individual kits to get more than one.
Q7. Why can't I find Vehicle Restoration Kits in crates?
Q7. Crates of these kits are currently bugged. Whenever you pull a kit from a crate it decrements the count in the crate by two even though you only get one place in your inventory. BUG BYPASS: use the radial menu on the crate to split a stack of 1... then pull the kit from the stack of 1.
Q8. Do i have options other than buying a restoration kit?
A8. Yes and no. Most artisans will make you the kit for free if you bring them the resources to make it plus a little extra for them to keep. You could also go back to buying swoops... which wouldn't really hurt artisans at all
.
Q9. What resources are needed to make the kits?
A9. 750 units of Carbonaceous Asteroid found in naboo space AND 750 units of Petrochemical Asteroid found in yavin space.
i hope that helps and i hope people find it useful. My customers constantly ask me these things so here is hoping a gun bunny comes looking here.
Q10. I read about a bug where stacked items are considered one item when making a factory schematic. Did this bug carry over to stacked VRK's? If i use a VRK from a stack will it accidentally use all of the kits in the stack instead of one?
A10. No, the bug did not carry over. There is no risk of losing your kits when using them from a stack
Q11. I have a kit... but it wont let me repair my vehicle... why?
A11-1. You need to have the kits in your inventory. They will not work if they are in your backpack.
A11-2. I have heard reports about player city garages radial menu repair button "over-writing" the "restore vehicle" option when there is a good amount of lag. try moving away from the garage.
Q12. why has the price gone through the roof all of the sudden?!?!?!?!?
A12. Mustafar... its instant vehicle death! Artisan's were most likely not ready for so many vehicle being destroyed all at once. The rapid (and massive) increase in demand has spurned a series of price increases. Hang tight and the prices should return to normal when the "new" wears off of Mustafar.
Q13. Ive been spamming all day and haven't sold a single kit! whats the best way to sell the kits?
A13-1. From my own experience, the only time you can sell anything in person by spamming is when you have somthing everyone in the area is looking for. just because you see a bunch of people does not mean they will want to buy your kits. Also, when trying to sell in person... its best to address people by name so they actually look at what your saying. Most people won't pay attention to spam shouts, add you to ignore, or flame you if your prices are high.
A13-2. When selling from a vendor try to open up in a mall that has somthing else to draw people to it. Stim and food vendors work great! Gun bunnies go to these kind of vendors all the time. Place your vendor near the door so people can see it on the way out of the shop. Turn foot traffic into impulse buys.

I think this is a great post. I get asked these questions all the time. The only question is, will a gun bunney come here to look for it or just keep complaining to me that we charge too much. This post should be sticked on every forum.
Good job!

Good FAQ! Sticky for you!
I'd update it to include the Artisan FAQs as well, things like what resources are required and the current crate bug.

Crates for VRK's are currently bugged right now. Everytime you to try to take out a VRK from the crate it will decriment the count by TWO. To get around this problem split the crate into 1's and then get get the item from that.
I bought 3 VRK's and I only see one in my inventory! Where did the rest go?
VRK's are stackable. This means you can have a whole bunch of VRK's and you can put them together to it'll only take up one lot space. The number on the VRK icon indicates how many VRK's you have left.
i edited the post to include the first one. stacking is explained already... do you want me to put that in there as well?
