Thread: Question about vendors

You can only place a vendor if you actually own the house -- admin priviliges to one don't count. I had that same problem. I'm assuming that the owner of the house couldn't place the vendor because he didn't have the requisite business skills?

As far as the original posters questions.....I don't know. I have to check my vendor but I'm pretty sure I cant share admin priviliges with anyone.

I have the same exact problem with giving a vendor to the house owner to drop for me. We actually successfully dropped a vendor the first time. We got a second house to use as a shop and moved the vendor to the shop (I didn't have novice merchant yet.) When we tried to place my second merchant after I made novice we ran into the same problem. My ticket is 48 hours old. I haven't logged in yet today to check if it has been answered.

I am a none artisan but I am a scout and have a large amount of hides, bones, foraged food and I would also like to try to sell some camp kits and traps as they are kind of tedious to make and some people would probably rather buy them.

What I am wondering is do Merchants have the ability to transfer ownership of a vendor to another person? So I can place one in my house and try to sell stuff or do I have to find a Merchant I can trust and share admin privileges with him on the vendor?

Along this issue I created a vendor in a house yesterday that I was an admin for but not the owner of. I could create the vendor but couldn't place him. I then traded it to the owner of the house thinking perhaps they were the only ones who could place the venor. They couldn't place the vendor either and now they cannot delete the vendor, nor can they trade the vendor back to me.

I have sent a bug in in game but that was 24 hours ago and I have not heard anything since. Anyone else have a problem similar to this.

I have this same bug. I create a vender and the owner of the house can not place, trade or destroy it once I give it to him. One trick to at least get your vender spot back is to have him sell it to one of your venders. You can then get it from your vender and detroy it, opening a slot up for you again.

I'm not a merchant and I have not merchant skills fromt he artisan tree nor am I even trained in artisan. Is there away to rent a vendor from merchants or some sort so i wouldnl't have to go up the artisan tree to sell stuff?

Thanks for the info ahead of time.

Yes there is. Find a friendly merchant and make a deal with me to sell your stuff.

No there isn't a way to rent a vendor, you need to get business 3 in order to have one of your own (and you may have to fight to keep some people from taking that away!). You're stuck with the bazaar or selling them directly to other players.

If you're a scout your best bet is to find someone you can get into a regular relationship with to provide hides and bones. I'm a tailor and have a few resource gatherers who I know I can count on and buy almost everything from them usually in bulk. (My last hide order was 100,000cr of hides.)

Spice sales would be different if you're going into smuggler. You'll need to get through the boxes and get your vendor or get into a relationship with someone who'll resell for you. Maybe a chef so people could do one stop buff shopping. If you want to manage your own vendor though, and you probably do, you'll need to get at least to business 3 and probably to novice merchant (NPC vendors are way way nicer than the big ugly box).

Yes, you can sell your stuff to a merchant wholesale, and if it sells, then they will keep buying

As a tailor i am able to place 25 items on the bazaar, however, a friend has placed a vendor in one of my houses and i would like to stock it with clothing items. Does anyone know if there is a limit to the amount of items i can put there? and... Will they combine the items i have on the bazaar with the items on the vendor or is it seperate?

I have 120 items on my personal vendor and they don't stack with the bazaar.
