OK, I started artisan and i am crafting items on my droids, weapons and general crafting tool, why in the world can I not make a generic crafting tool? I have the item in my datapad, I see it, but its not showing up in any of my crafting tools of any kind. So I don't get the option to make it, yes I tried to slide the little blue arrows but the only thing that shows up under generic is dice. This is the most simplist tool to make so which tool do i need to make it, cause the only ones for sale are -13.00 and whatever and i want a better one. Thanks!

Are you using droid, weapon, and general item crafting tool and standing next to droid, weapon, and general item crafting station?

Nope just using a droid, weapon and general item crafting tool, i was actually sitting in a quiet place away from any crafting stations. This is really weird that the option isn't even there.

unfortunately, the only way to make a generic tool right now, is with another generic crafting tool
this means you cannot experiment on them, so the effectiveness is very low and not worthwhile

So if you need a generic crafting tool to make a generic crafting tool, then how did the first tool come to be? Which came first the chicken or the egg, lol. Maybe in the beginning everyone got one if they chose the artisan prof, now you just need to find crappy ones, to make crappy ones, thats great. Thanks for the reply!!

originally, you could make generic tools with the WDG tool and experiment on them lol
removed in a bug, publish # i don't remember but we've been asking for a fix for a long time
