This has worked for me... I have maxed out survey and I strip down all armor so that I regen faster... I think I have the times right. Any of this work for you?

/st; /sam; /pause 400; /si; /pause 200; /st; /sam; /pause 400; /si; /pause 200; /st; /sam; /pause 400; /si; /pause 200; /st; /sam; /pause 400; /si; /pause 200; /st; /sam; /pause 400; /si; /pause 200; /st; /sam; /pause 400; /si; /pause 200; ... and so on. I fill up the macro as much as possible...

I find that that being full samples for like 3 or 4 hours or so. Anyone else have similar times?

i believe there is a /repeat type command you could put at the end of that to just repeat the macro so you don't have to type it all out, but not sure....

there is a copy and paste command in the game, they are just unbound by default (I set mine up to ctrl-**edit**-c and ctrl-**edit**-v). Open up the options menu, go to keymap, then the chat panel. Search around in the chat key bindings and you will eventually see copy/cut/paste on the list.

heh, LOL, the board censored my post! Those edits are the key that is used to toggle caps when typing (not the caps-lock key). In other words, the SHIFT button.

Is there a macro to make a specific item?

I have read that they nerfed the looping. So just do this.

DannielLightShifter'sDefinitive Guide to Macro Sampling.

1) Remove all your armor (you regen action points faster)
2) Use your Survey Tool and survey for your favorite resource. (nothing better then a bunch of naked surveyors)
3)Pick a happy spot.
4) Open up the options window by hitting Control - o
5) Go to Controls then click Keymap
6) Click the chat tab
7) Locate the key bindings for Chat Edit Copy, Chat Edit Cut, Chat Edit Paste.
8) Rebind them to the following (you can use anything you want but this works well for me), Chat Edit Copy (control - alt - shift - c), Chat Edit Cut (control - alt - shift - x), Chat Edit Paste (control - alt - shift - v).
9) Now that you now have Copy Cut and Paste you are ready to make your macro.
10) Hit Control - a to go into the Abilities and Command window.
11) Click Macros
12) Click new Macro
13) After you name your macro, choose an icon for your macro then type this small tidbit in the macro field

/st; /sam; /pause 400; /si; /pause 200;

14) Use your mouse tohighlight that one little tidbit, then hit control - shift - alt - c to copy. Then use your hotkey control - shift - alt - v to paste it as many times (SIDE BY SIDE SEPERATED BY SEMICOLONS)as will fit in the macro window.
15) I like to put a Smile at the end (remember anything without a / in front of it will appear in spacial chat. So I like to type a at then end so that when I wake in the morning I can see if my character is done sampling or not.

Now unfortunatly... There is no way to stop a macro. So... If you wish to cancel the macro sample, simply log off and log back on.

Also remember. Macro space is limited! So don't put any hard returns in the macro. Everythign should be side by side seperated by semicolons ;

When all is said and done your macro should look something like this:

/st; /sam; /pause 400; /si; /pause 200;/st; /sam; /pause 400; /si; /pause 200;/st; /sam; /pause 400; /si; /pause 200;/st; /sam; /pause 400; /si; /pause 200;/st; /sam; /pause 400; /si; /pause 200;/st; /sam; /pause 400; /si; /pause 200;/st; /sam; /pause 400; /si; /pause 200;/st; /sam; /pause 400; /si; /pause 200;/st; /sam; /pause 400; /si; /pause 200;/st; /sam; /pause 400; /si; /pause 200;/st; /sam; /pause 400; /si; /pause 200;/st; /sam; /pause 400; /si; /pause 200;/st; /sam; /pause 400; /si; /pause 200;/st; /sam; /pause 400; /si; /pause 200;/st; /sam; /pause 400; /si; /pause 200;/st; /sam; /pause 400; /si; /pause 200;

When you are done drag the macro sample icon from the Abilities and Commands window to the tool bar so you will always have quick access to it.

I hope that covers it everyone. Happy Grinding.
