I have plenty of resources, but it takes forever to actually turn them into exp. I heard you get about 2 exp per 1 resource used, so currently, I am making Food and Chemical Crafting Tools because they use up 24 mineral and 10 chemical. This yeilds around 66 exp per creation and i need 33,000 just to get novice architect. So, is there a faster way to make general crafting exp out of resources? Is there one item that takes more resources but yeilds more exp because it is really annoying to have to stop crafting everty few minutes and destroy all the Food and Chemical Crafting Tools for inventory space. Also is there any way to delete more then one item at a time.

After i reach architect, can anyone tell me what skill tree makes the most profit? Harvestors/Factories, Housing, Furniture? I run missions to cover harvester costs, but it would be nice if i didn't have to and could sell the things I make. Thanks a lot for any help you guys can provide me

Well when I "grind" (currently I am at Eng III) I will survey for wood and find a really rich spot for wood. I have tons of wood right now. The one Item that I know that only needs ONE type of resource are wood staffs. It takes 16 units of wood to create one.

So what i do is while I am sampling for wood (any kind will do) I will sit there with a Generic crafting tool and a Weapon crafting tool and switch back and forth constantly making wood staffs one ever couple seconds. (I use 2 crafting tools so you don't have to wait for the hopper to unload)

You get 32 exp per unit so its like 64 exp every cycle. This has bumped me through pretty fast.

I hope this helps you in some way.

I've been doing Muzzles myself.

Takes 6 Metal, and 4 Inert Chem.. used to yeild 40XP a shot.. not sure what is now.

Additionally, the upside to doing Muzzles is if you have any ranged ability at all, experiment on it and save yourself a few nice ones to toss on your gun.. sell the rest (People do indeed buy the nicer ones out there).

They used to do 4 exp per ranged weapon resource but its now only 2 per. Sucks for us now. hehehe

So your best bet is Wood staffs.
