Any hints on how to stay organized?

I'm a master artisan, and I've collected a lot of materials over the last couple weeks. I have so many varieties of bone, I don't know what to do with them. I filled a backpack with my resources, so I thought I'd split them into an "Organics" backpack, and an "Inorganics" backpack, but it turns out it doesn't save space if you aren't wearing it.

So how do you deal with the incredible number of resource types without running into space issues? Do you destroy resources if you have less than a certain quantity? Do you store them in you house or safety deposit box? Do you know some secret that I'm missing?

I'm finding resource management to be a pain, so if anybody has any tips on keeping organized, I'd love to hear them.

I tend not to keep stuff for a long time.
When i get enough bone or hide i make stuff with it. i dont see the point in simple saving stuff up ... wasting valuable crafting XP.
