I calculated it out to BER of 14 with my stats setup to sample continuously and canceling any popups. This was on Test Center so your results might vary. Also, macro sampling might slow this down (not sure never tried it).
I typically open my inventory window Alt-Tab to read these forums or such and listen for a popup occurs. I run SWG in a borderless window, it works out well this way.

Just out of curiosity, what BER would you say soemone with surveying IV is? I
mean if you left a Surveyor surveying for an hour and left a harvester mining for an hour mining the same rescource and concentration, what BER would the harvester be to mine the same amount as the person?

It also depends on the macro you have. Some are better some are worse. Anyway, if you sit by the computer you'll get more resources than if you macro, since you can get the pop-up samples.
